The Government of Malaysia ratified the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on 19 July 2010. The OKU Rights Matter Project supports the implementation of the Convention in Malaysia. Regarding article 9 on Accessibility of the Convention, The OKU Rights Matter Project endeavours, within its means, to improve access to information resources on the rights of persons with diverse disabilities.
